Bad Credit Agency

Terminate an HP agreement?

Have you ever terminated your HP agreement and sent the goods back? How did the finance company react when you told them. Did they give you a black mark with the credit reference agencies? (even though you had paid more than half) I have a car on HP that is worth much less than I owe. The negative equity is almost £3000. I wish to terminate this agreement in acordance with my legal rights. But first I am asking for advice from anyone who knows the best way to do it. I am worried that the HP company may try to say that the car needs to be brought back up to showroom standard and charge me for the work and the cost of selling it on to the trade. The agreement just says "as long as you have taken care of the car there will be nothing more to pay" Any advice welcome!

  1. If you terminate your aggreement you will lose and more than likely get a bad credit rating. If you can afford to reduce the payments than thats the best way.Once the Bank/agency get their money they will be content. The last thing they wanna do is go to court to get their money back.Good Luck
