is it possible to report good dept to credit agencies, even if lenders won't?
Aaron's Rents is the company in question. my husband and i have bought more than $8000.00 worth of furniture from them and paid for it over 4 yrs in monthly payments. we have no other credit and they wont report it to the credit agencies. If we had defaulted they would have reported the bad debt.

- I don't think so. If you're trying to build credit, you could try a credit card for people with bad or no credit, such as Orchard Bank (recently merged with HSBC). The interest rates are exceptionally high, for those types of cards, and they usually have fees, but if you pay off the entire balance before the 20 to 25 day grace period, you won't be charged interest. If you do this, however, bear in mind that requesting too many cards, or types of credit at once will lower your credit score and so will keeping a high credit card balance.
- You can make consumer statements that will appear on your report but they will have no impact on your score etc. Aaron's probably doesn't report a normal tradeline due to it being a "rental"
- I have heard of RTO customers getting letters of referral or recommendation to take to car dealerships and other finance companies. They used their payment history for smaller credit references; it did not reflect on their actual credit report but it did assist them.
