Report someone to Credit Agency without SSN?
Is it possible for me to report someone as delinquent to a credit angency WITHOUT their Social Security Number? What if I pass it on to a collection agency, can they do it without the SSN? Is there any way possible? Things like full name,street address,phone number, DOB are all known, just not SSN. Just to clarify, this is in USA. Helpful info if I were in Canada, but I'm not. Thanks! OK even if it is not me doing it, can someone be reported to the 3 credit bureaus without their SSN?

- In Canada, Yes. I would think everywhere that if you take them to small claims court, win, obtain judgment, at that time you would file an execution with the Sheriff, which would mean before they buy, sell or mortgage, this loan would have to be paid.
- You, as an individual, can not place something on a credit report. They don't allow it. You could turn it over to the collection agency, but they will charge their collection fee. If you successfully sue them, then there will be a judgement filed in public record, and the agencies will pick up on that. As for needing a SSN, it's not always needed. They will compare address or other criteria to match the correct person to the record.
