Bad Credit Agency

My credit score is 600 due to many inquiries in last 2 years. All my accounts are always on time and neverlate

Am Active Military going through my Navy bank for a new auto loan. Asked for 14k. I owe 5,500 on mr current out of commission 99 Elantra and is worth 1,400. Repairs are 1,300. My bank says I have too many inquiries in the last 2 years for them to do anything over 10k. I have never missed a payment in 5 years and have no bad accounts. One late payment over 60 days 6 years ago but I refused to pay for a faulty service so that's my fault. Any advice on going through dealership for financing or credit score help? I do not own a home. Being Active Duty Navy and always moving around I havn't bought a home yet so no mortgage, I do rent however. The two problems are neg. equity for current car and low score because of enquiries. I told the manager I havn't missed a payment since I've had the car(5 years) and they couldn't help me out. I am in Newport and travel to Maine(6 hours) every weekend because of family problems and my grandparents are terminally ill. I can't afford to be stranded from work, and especially from home. Most of the enquiries were from last year, when I wanted to trade the car in before the subframe somehow cracked and left my stranded this week. Don't have anything within last 12 months except from my bank trying to get me an auto loan.

  1. Do you own a home? I do mortgage refinance loans`and may be able to get you cash out from the equity of your home for whatever you want it for. With a 600 score I could lend you 100% of the value of your home. You could email me at jdw222_001@yahoo.com.
  2. You know, this credit score crap is really starting to get me p'd off. What they should look at is your repayment history and how reliable and prompt you are in that. This crap about how many times your report has been viewed, and that number being held against you is a total bunch of garbage. Credit reports are just as crooked as everything else.
  3. A high number of inquiries flags an profile for possible fraud. Since the bank turned you down, you have the right to get free credit reports. On those reports, they should show all of your accounts and you who's been doing the inquiries. If you haven't applied for credit with these institutions, or there are active accounts you don't know about, then someone may have stolen your identity and has been obtaining credit in your name.
  4. The first thing you should do is pull your credit. I know most military bases have financial help available such as advisers and councilors. Maybe you just need to check you history make sure it's accurate. Also before you apply for credit make sure all credit cards have below 30% balance of the available credit. This will help to raise your score. If you really want to buy a new car do your homework, because salesmen will say anything to make a sale. Do on-line comparisons of vehicles you are interested in. Be open minded don't just pick a car and have tunnel vision. Test drive several different makes and models. Find out the value of your trade from different dealers. Make sure you know everything you should so they cant pull one over on you. KBB.Com is a good place to start. Hyundai might offer you more for your trade as customer loyalty bonus. And most places have some kind of military incentive. Putting down a large down payment will save you lots of money next time you buy.
  5. credit inquires only affect your score minimally compared to most issues --like one or two points for each inquiry-- get your free credit report on line ( i am not an ad freecreditreport.com) and find out why your score i so low- often there are mistakes on your report or confusion with someone elses credit history
