Where can i get financing for auto purchase with the very worst credit, (bk's, repos, colls) but a good job?

I have $5k to put down pmt, need SUV.

1. If you know you already have bad credit and you have 5k to put down, I would just be patient and shop around for a great used auto. Buy one from an elderly couple that hardly put mileage and took good care of their car. That way you won't be in debt. Free and clear auto.
2. I would go to a local dealership first. They work with many banks and may be able to get you financed that way. (Sometimes if you have bad credit you may have to pay a acquis. fee to get the loan). If you own a home you could possibly do a home equity loan (if you've made good on your payments). Or you could just save little by little until you can put down a huge chunk of money or purchase outright. The least amount of debt is always better! Hope this helps!
