How do I apply for a student loan with bad credit?
Can I ask my parents to apply for the loan, since they have better credit? Thanks for your help!

- i have bad credit and i got approved for the loan since I was a full time student... talk to your financial aid office to see what options you have, they will help you... if by then you don't get approve ask your parents...
- ask them to co-sign otherwise they will have to begin repayment almost immediately.
- If you apply via the FAFSA (http://www.fafsa.ed.gov), it doesn't matter what your credit is like. It is based on need, not credit. Unless you are in default on a previous student loan, they will give you the maximum amount you are determined to need.
