Or is this a one time payment for joining? I'm scared to apply to these online cars, because of the possibilities of "hidden" additional charges.

  13. You can definitely get a credit card even if you have bad credit. You should check out this site, it helped me out quite a bit. There are a couple of offers listed for unsecured cards up to a pretty decent credit limit...I can't remember what the limit was exactly. With those offers, you might be able to get a cash advance too, if that's something you'd be interested in.
