  1. Yes. You will need to apply for a secured credit card. The way it works is you will make out a normal credit card application, and depending on the offer, you will have to send them maybe a dollar for every dollar in credit they will extend. Sometimes you might get an offer for one-and-a-half times credit line, which means you send them $500 and you will get a $750 credit limit on the credit card. The amount you sent them, which acts like a security deposit and is called a security account, is set aside in an interest-bearing savings account. As long as you make charges and pay them on time then savings account is not touched. This may be about the only way you can get started. Shop around carefully though, because many times outrageous up-front fees amounting to hundreds of dollars are tacked on. Don't expect to get a great deal though, just look for a deal, period.
  2. You should try to get a secured credit card. It sucks because you will have to pledge your own money as collateral, but you have to start rebuilding your credit somehow.
  3. You've been denied because you don't know how to handle money. You don't need a credit card, you need to spend money MORE wisely, not borrow more money. What's in my wallet? CASH!
  4. brandontipsword has the best option for you. get a secured credit card.
  5. Why have you been denied?? Bad credit?? Has it all been paid off?? If not then why would you want to go in to more debt when you can't pay what you already owe?? If you want a credit card you need to be a responsible person and someone that has a bunch of bad debt on their credit is not deemed as a responsible person. Ask your self this-- If you lend $1000.00 to someone and he never pays you back would you continue to loan him money again?? That is what the credit companies look at. If you have a bunch of bad debt on your credit that is not paid, why would they want to give you a credit card?? Chance are you would not pay them too. Step up, take responsibility for your actions and get out of debt. If you can give me 1 valid reason you think that you need a credit card I will give you mine.
