- well if its the same company well I spose they will check your credit rating...............
- I knew a guy bankrupt - moved to Brisbane from NZ and rented a house, got power on etc with no problems.... just don't apply for any bank loans or credit cards when you get here - let yourself get a credit record first for a year or two. Bottom line, I don't see it a problem. You have your bills paid off, but they just keep it on record for a while. The only thing compaines can see is if there is court judgements against you - if you have been to court and paid the accounts, it'll show as paid anyhow. You can if you wanted apply to the courts to have any court judgements taken off if paid so they won't show up (if you have any) but time and paperwork prevails as usual. Opening a bank account is no problems ... you will only need 100 points (in the aussie system) such as passport, birth cert, medicare card, drivers license etc.. just proof of ID, and of course $50 to throw in the account to open it. Hope this helps and good luck with your move.
- Sorry to say but they will check your credit even though you are now in Aus. Is it Baycorp? Hopefully though they will see you are all out of debt now and it will be okay. especially if it was a while a go. Maybe be honest with the landlord etc first as last and then they will see you are an honest sort who has nothing to hide. Good luck in starting your new life. Hope it all works out!
- Man! Please do not move to Australia. New Zealand is just as great and you wont be spending any money from moving. Please stay in nz, if you need convincing, don't hesitate to email me. Thanks
