  1. Most credit repair companies are scams. Before you throw away any more money, read the FTC info on credit repair: http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/credit/cre13.shtm
  2. i would agree credit repair are scams, most are, so do your homework
  3. Waterfield Credit is a wonderful company, they really help people. Yes you can repair your own credit just like you can do your own taxes but most people will hire a professional. Waterfield has helped several people I know get their credit to the point of getting their first homes, etc. Call them directly on their toll free line at 888-829-2169 and I know they will help you. I hate to see good companies get slammed when people just post bad things without seeking resolution through the appropriate channels. Waterfield Credit is one of those good companies with personal service. You know that they do have a money back guarantee - I put their links below.
  4. I have tried but it's nothing you can't do yourself~!~~~~ You save some money doing that way. I work at an auto dealership and we always refer people to http://www.OurCreditSolution.com - It's worked in the past with people repairing there credit. You do it yourself and save money.
  5. The best way to find a reputable credit repair company is to get a referral from somebody that had success with that company in the past. Be very skeptical of companies that guarantee they can remove 100% of all negative items on a credit report. It is okay for a company to offer a money back guarantee, but consumers should steer clear of any company that says they can for sure get negative items removed that are accurate. Every company a consumer talks to regarding credit repair will almost certainly say they are legitimate and will do a good job. But the only true way to know if they are hiring a competent company is through word-of-mouth referrals from past customers and recommendations from professionals like loan officers, Realtors, CPAs, attorneys etc.
