Bad Credit Agency

I have hired a credit repair agency, Are they any good?

I need a mortgage and they claim they can remove most all bad debt from my credit history. I just wanted to get some feedback from those who have used this type of service. Thanks!

1. First you hire them; then you ask if they are any good?
2. Some are; some are not. If I needed help I would contact.CCCI. They have been in business a long time- long before the current panic.
3. I don't see how they can remove legitimate bad debt from your credit history. Legally if it's legit it cannot be removed. Sounds shady to me.
4. well i have to say that i agree some are and some are not. i had the chance to have lexington law assist me in removin my debt and i must say they realy did a good job. no they didnt get every thing removed but they got atleast 80 or 85 percent of it erased
5. They are a great service. They do not simply erase your debt. What they do is make deals with the companies you owe so you can make manageable payments to get out of your debt.
6. My brother did this with great results but it's not always super fast, as some things do take time. From what I saw a credit agency can make a huge difference.

If your deal with them is for negotiating cash payoffs and then getting the negative report off your rating, then it's good if the company is legit and you aren't paying huge fees (because you can do this yourself). If they are claiming to get rid of the dings without paying at least part of them off, it's probably a scam and you can easily do this yourself. I hired one years ago. I don't know HOW they did it, but all my bad credit went away, at least temporarily. I think they did something shady and probably illegal.

9. Credit repair agencies do not remove your debt, they remove the negative comments or ratings. I strongly recommend Lexington Law they are really affordable I believe they start off at $35/mo and you see results around the 6 month mark.
