Bad Credit Agency

What is a good credit repair company?

I am aware that I can do this myself but I don't have time to do it myself. Can anyone refer me to a good legit credit repair service. This question is ONLY for people who have used a credit repair service so please don't answer if you haven't used one. I don't have any bankrupt or liens or anything that serious, but I do have a lot of collection, late payments, 1 charge off, and 1 repossession and a lot of inquires.

  1. To the extent that any firm is reputable, I hear the Lexington Law Firm is fairly decent. All the can do is request validation and hope that they can't be validated. ---------------------------------------- No one has "insider" knowledge to take accurate negative info off your credit files..... There is, however, one trick that "may" help to remove negatives from your credit files. You don't have to pay anyone to do this. Per the Fair Credit Reporting Act you have the right to request written validation of negative entries on your credit files. Per this law they must validate the item(s) within 30 days or remove them from your credit file. Mail a letter via certified mail with return receipt to all three credit bureaus (Equifax, TransUnion & Experian). Include a photocopy of your driver's license and social security card...If you don't include these, they may write back requesting them, which would slow the process down by several weeks. For each negative item, write a separate letter and simply include the phrase: Per the Fair Credit Reporting Act, I am requesting written validation of this item. Do this one at a time for each negative entry....DO NOT request validation for all items at one time. There is NO guarantee that this will work....It may give some decent results. The worst that can happen is that all negative items come back verified.
  2. IT's called CRA Credit Report Advocates. They have been in business for over 15 years. There fees range from 299.00-999.00. 299-599 for and individual case, 699-999 for a joint (married couple) case. You can make monthly payments. You do not pay your bills. They dispute them for you. You will receive updated copies of your credit reports within 60 days with the status of the disputes then send them back and they dispute on your behalf for a year. They dispute anything! Judgements, tax liens, foreclosures, bankruptcies, repossessions, med bills, student loans, late payments, charge offs, etc. There number is 1-800-601-3401 or www.pleasefixmycreditscore.com REF CODE 3979 www.crawg.com REF CODE 3979 Lexington law is horrible. We get atleast 5-10 calls a day from their previous clients that they did nothing for them and charged them thousands of dollars. Our fees don't go over 999.00 and that's for 2 people jointly. 5. A lot of companies charge you each month. I used Total Debt Solutions, LLC. They charged me a fair, 1-time fee and got almost all my negatives bounced off my report. They have a toll-free phone number on their website or a free evaluation form if you want them to call you. Good luck.
  6. United Credit Restoration is great. They've been registered with the BBB for 5 years and have no complaints against them. It does take time though...maybe a full year but it's worth it. They have a one time charge of $ 499. That's it. You can even check the progress on line because they give you a password. Here's one link, but I think there are others: http://vrtmg.com/smiller5
