Has anyone found a decent bad credit personal loan in the US?

I am in a desperate situation and am looking for a bad credit personal loan from someone who is not trying to scam me. If anyone can offer some advice, please any would be appreciated.

1. If I were you I would go to a credit union or big bank. They will be able to lead you in the right track or help you out in getting a loan. I wouldn't go through some little place that's not to popular. Especially with financial situation as it is right now I would be careful with smaller places.
2. First, do yourself a favor and Report any online loan outfits that offer answers to your question. The disheartening thing about your situation is "bad credit" and "decent loan" won't fit in the same sentence. The only practical way to get where you need to go is borrow against something you own like your car or your house. And then you have to do your homework carefully because "Title Loan" outfits are as bad as check advance shops or payday loans - exorbitant fees and ridiculous interest rates. You're much better off to deal with a credit union and that requires being a customer; preferably in good standing for some time. Another thing to consider - situations often look desperate when we're in the middle of them because FEAR makes a problem look bigger. Stop, breath, and take another look at what you're up against. Are there creative ways to handle or reduce the situation so you don't need to borrow money? Not managing borrowed money well is what created the "bad credit" problem in the first place...
