  1. Secured Cards is the way to go.......... Do not fall for the first premier, aspire, cortrust and so forth traps. You will spend 200-250 dollars to get a 300 limt. So you'll have 50 dollars of available credit. Get a secured card or two. Clean up your reports and then your on your way. visit this website. Its dedicated to helping people such as your self build/repair their credit. www.creditboards.com/forums
  2. Isn't that the reason you have bad credit?!!..Hmmmm... You can build credit for having the world's lowest credit
  3. Start with Capital One secured card. There's an annual fee of $29 - 59 on their cards but it's still the best deal out there. You may be able to still get a student card from your bank. I'm not sure how old you "bad credit" is. If it's greater than 2 years old you may have a chance. If you haven't already get cracking on repairing your credit by disputing anything that's not yours or outdated (greater than 7 yrs) on your credit report. If you have outstanding collections get the off as well by doing pay for deletes on small amounts (less than $1000) and go on a payment plan with pay for deletes on amounts greater than that. Going forward make sure you pay your bills righteously on time
  4. You shouldn't have any credit cards. When you don't pay off what you owe it is the rest of us that have to pay with higher interests and higher fees. It is just not right. Get a job and get a debit card...and use what you have...and nothing more.
  5. If you can apply for a Capital One card where you live, I would say go with that - they are known to issue credit cards to people who are looking to rebuild their credit and they offer a very small credit limit initially so that you don't go wild.
