Credit repair. I had a car loan?

I had a car loan but a had a lot of late payments. The car is paid off now. How do I get the negative off my credit? Will a "goodwill" letter help or what can I do? If so who do I address it to.

  1. You sound like someone who has been reading the material (from this and other questions) on a lot of credit boards which can be very detrimental to you unless you are careful. You can try a goodwill letter it may but usually will not work. Good luck in clearing up your credit reports. Oh and use your own words not some form letters that will having them rolling in the isles laughing at all kinds of threats. Just say it in your own words and whatever happens, happens.
  2. If the information is accurate, it stays on your credit. Don't you think that would be unfair to remove your poor payment history from a potential lender where in all likelihood you'll do the same thing?
  3. Nothing you can do except wait for the 7 years to go by. If they on on there you where over 30 days late, nothing can change that
  4. There's no quick fix to correct your credit rating. If you wish to rebuild your credit, get a small secured loan for 24 months and pay it back in 12.
  5. Try getting an online auto loan quote. http://www.autoadviceonline.com/Free-Auto-Loan-Quote.html The questionaire will give you results based on your credit and financial situation. It's free and you can get an answer in minutes.
