Are there any credit repair agencies (and/or software) that actually works?

I'm looking to fix a couple of issues on my credit report. For example, I want a creditor to remove a 30-day delinquency from my credit report. Are there any actual credit repair agencies and/or websites/software that work? Let me add that: - No, I don't want to do it myself. I'd rather work with a professional that knows what they are doing. Most creditors won't listen to my lonely pleas. - I'm only interested in agencies that have been known to be successful. References/reviews are required. Thanks! The thing is, I am a military soldier. I was only delinquent the one time when I was sent overseas without notice. I had no time to get my affairs in order. It was "grab your bags and let's go." I would hope that any creditor would understand that situation, especially when I was only late that one period.

1. No....accurate negative information stays...sorry...Only the passing of time will remove late pays. Don't waste your money on any firm that states that they can remove negative items... The new FICO credit scoring model is supposedly set up to forgive situations like yours...that is, a one-time missed payment. If this is all you have wrong, I would not worry....Again, this cannot be deleted....Just focus on not letting this happen again as they won't forgive another late pay so soon after this one and you would see a drop in your score if you let it happen again.
