Is anyone else receiving phone calls from a 'consumer credit' agency? I press 2 to stop getting them but...
I have been getting phone calls all the time from a company. The phone call starts out automated, says if you want to lower your debt, to press '1' to speak with a counselor, or '2' to stop receiving phone calls. I have pressed 2, I have spoke to a so-called manager, I have complained - I want to speak with a real person about these calls. The last person told me to F-off!!!! I am ready to sue these people - does anyone know what the company is really called?? Or how to reach them? When I call the number back, it says its been disconnected. I am FED-UP!! Thanks for any help!! I HAVE registered with the Do Not Call List. Prior to these calls, I registered, about 3 years ago.

- I do not know how to get to them but you should try registering your name on the National Do Not Call Registry...you can find it online and then when they call you let them know that you are registered and most of the time they will stop calling.
- Go to this site and sign up to remove your name for up two years from being called: https://www.donotcall.gov/ Also If you can get the number off your id call them back and register a complain against this company. The site provided will guide you.
- sign up the national do not call registry. If you have signed up once before, you have to sign up again (every five years) This same type of company calls me quite often so lately I have been stringing them along telling them I am interested, that I have 20k+ debt etc I have had one of them on the phone for 20 minutes. I tell them since they have asked me questions, I need them to answer MY questions before I sign up with them. THen I silly stuff like if they like the job that they have, how long they have been doing this etc. When I am close to ready to get off the phone, I ask them what kind of panties they have on or if they have had sex with a billy goat etc! It is hilarious SInce they piss me off I feel like turn about is fair play
- Where have you been living that you do not know about the Federal and STate DO NOT CALL LIST?!?!? Duuuh - this has been around for several years. You list your home (NOT a cell phone) with both your state attorney general and the feds, then when solicitors call you, they can be sued. And if they do call you after you notify them your number is listed, you report them, and the Feds go after them. You know, this is kinda like spam. The more you rant and threaten them, the more they laugh at you and call you more often. http://www.fcc.gov/cgb/donotcall/
- Google the phone number. I have done that and found it was Washington Mutual that was calling.
