can anybody give me advice on how to repair my credit and raise my score?
I am trying to repair my bad credit so that i can raise my score to buy a house. I have gotten a credit report and the main problems i have are unpaid medical bills, a judgement and a student loan. I have never had credit card so i dont have any of those problems. what i want to know is what is the best way to handle this and would it be a good idea to hire a credit repair agency. i was told by one person that they could repair my credit for $200 and $50 a month. I also have things that are over 7 yrs old how can i get these removed some were even relisted on my credit report after the 7yrs can they do that?

- get a credit card make some purchases and then just make the minimum monthly payments that worked for me
- I got a great "book" called "Guerilla Credit Repair" on ebay, for maybe $10. I is written by a finance counselor. He gives all sorts of great info on how to get things off of your report just by writing letters, which in turn raises your score. Don't hire anyone, they usually turn out to be a scam. You can do it yourself.
- There is this site http://www.CreditTrix.info where you can get a complete Credit Repair kit for less than $20. Don't pay someone hundreds to do it for you - thats crazy! Do it yourself and good luck to you.
- go to creditboards.com. It is a free forum that will answer all your questions. If you have items that are over 7 years you need to write the CRA and tell them they are past the reporting period and need to be removed. You can also find sample letters you need to send to the CRA's. Do not pay someone to do it. You can do it yourself for way cheaper and probably get better results. You probably do need to get a couple of credit cards to start building up some positive trade lines. Because without a postive payment history you credit will never get better. You probably would quilify for the frist premier and orchard card. http://creditcardwarehouseonline.com has them as does http://creditcardwarehouse.ecreditdirectory.com/
- You will still have to pay them off. It's 7 years from last activity date, which could be a simple connected phone call, or them selling it to an agency. Don't pay $50 per month. They can't repair your credit magically. You have to pay it off. Go to careonecredit.com. They will combine everything into one low payment for $30 per month. You can do everything online. Then you will need to get a credit card, even if it's like $100. Never let it go more than 30% of the limit, and pay it off every month.
- now see, there are many ways to repair your credit, and you know how to do them you probably just don't feel like it, or you just don't want to. This website that helped me out a tons was only like 20 bucks or something, and it gave me over 350 pages of information packed ways to repair my credit. when i was 19, my mom ran up all my credit cards and took me down to a 400 or something like that, it too a year or so, and with these guys help, my credit was around a steady 730 or so. They really do help, I mean you can't trust anybody but yourself now a days, this worlds getting more and more messed up. That's why i chose to buy there information and do it myself. quite simple... if you want, go to www.youneedtorepairyourcredit.com it's pretty darn hepful stuff
