Looking for referrals from people who have good experience from credit repair company?

I am interested in finding a credit repair company that has proven to have a very positive impact on your credit score. I know that the best way is to do it yourself so I would not like to hear responses from people who have no actual company in mind. Thank you.

  1. just be careful, credit repair places sometime make your credit score lower. By reducing what you owe, it stays on your credit for up to 7 years. This happened to a friend, and she would have been better paying off the whole amount. Now it stays on her credit 7 years, instead of 3.
  2. If you know the best way is to do it yourself then why are you asking people to give you bad advice? Isn't that sort of like saying that I know the best thing for a headache is Advil but can anyone reccommend a good brand of hammer to strike myself in the head with? Good credit repair company is an oxymoron. And anyone that uses one is too ... minus the oxy.
  3. There is no quick fix to repair your credit UNLESS all of your creditors are imbeciles. The quick fix solution relies on your repair agency bombarding creditors with automated letters disputing everything negative in your file. Most companies have automated systems to respond to this foolish method. It doesn't work. The only fix is to: 1. Pay your bills on time, all of them. 2. Pay more than the minimum balance 3. Do not exceed more than 25% of your available credit card limit if you carry a balance. 4. Buy what you need, not what you want. 5. Rinse and repeat.
  4. I tried on my own and got 3 things off. Then signed up with Lexington Law for a small monthly fee and they got another 3 things off. I only used them for 3 months because I was tired of paying them. It was a mistake I should have at least stayed 6 months.
