  1. This is really a big scam. There is no one who can "repair your credit" except you. You should check any of these firms out with the Better Business Bureau and you'll find what I'm telling you is true. They are all scams.
  2. Dont pay anyone for things you can do yourself with a little research. Your credit score (FICO) is what counts. It should be between 680-730 for excellent credit. The score is based on these factors: 1. Late payments and accounts suspended due to nonpayment. 2. Your Income to Credit Ratio. 3. How many open-ended accounts you have, and are they max'd out, or do they have low balances. 4. How many inquiries have you had? Have you applied for 3 or 4 new loans in the past year? So, if you have derogatory information on your credit report about non payment of late payment, you have to work harder to get these resolved. The creditor won't just take them off your report. Example, if you had a "Charge-Off" for non-payment, a credit card company may change the comment to something more lenient. Also, take a look at how much your monhly bills are, compared to your monthly income. If you're barely making ends meet, your score will be lower. How many open accounts do you have? This shows your current commitments. Too many could lower the score. And inquiries as to new accounts, or potential new accounts. Asking for loans to pay off loans will hurt your credit. 3. You can fix your own credit. Get on a credit repair forum and do some research. Pull credit reports and get to work.
  4. None of them can repair your credit. All they CAN do and WILL do is insure that your credit file contains no errors which might be reducing your credit score. You can obtain a free copy of your credit report and do that yourself. If all the items in the report are accurate and the creditor verifies their accuracy, nothing will change.

  6. Ok, this is what i can say, yes credit repair companies can only do what you can do yourself, but like myself there are many other people out there that dont have them time to go 10 times to the post office and send off letters to all credit bureaus and all creditors that are listed on a credit report, sure you can, but you can also fix your own car, mow your own lawn and home school your kids but you dont. Instead you decide to use a professional. I went and obtained all 3 of my credit reports, and then i seeked a professional, i used www.fastcreditsolutions.net They were super helpfull and explained to my what my credit problems were and by how much i should lower my revolving accounts by. My results were awesome they deleted a bunch of old collections and some late payments on my car loan. They are pretty cheap and have awesome customer service, you can contact them below.
