Where can I find credit applications for starting a small business w/o using my personal info as credit is bad
looking to start my own business. I've heard that I should not use my personal info for credit and financing, but rather get business credit. Any suggestions for websites? Also, I remember seeing a spot on TV about a website where people looking to invest or loan $ to entrepreneurs could bid on your business...kind of like eBay for loans, grants, investments. Know what it is?

- As a Company Owner, when first starting up it's almost impossible to NOT use your own personal credit. The only way to achieve it is by already having a bank roll for the company. Just like your personal credit your company has too build it's credit. So, you as the owner will have to bank the company in order too secure a line of credit in the company's name. Also, keep in mind if you don't back the company your interest rates will be higher. For instance I bought a Semi, My Company is the "Owner" of the Semi, however, I have to sign a paper saying that I personal responsible for the equipment. This means, that if my company goes belly up the bank can come after me for the money. Now had I don't just in my Company's name, my line of credit would be a lot less with a higher interest rate. Most only have to do this for a short period of time until there company becomes established. Most lenders want AT LEAST 2 FULL years of corporation taxes. Of course this all depends on what time of business your conducting.
- Its very easy to get business credit. Check out bizcreditebook.com
- Check out Prosper.com It may be what you are looking for. You post your request and then lenders place bids. If you don't get fully funded you don't get the loan, but they give you guidelines on how to post to make your chances greater, and you can always try again(and you are encouraged to do so if that happens, with modifications) You can also look at the other posts and see what seems to work...Good Luck!
