Bad Credit Agency

Any advice on credit repair?

Does anyone know of any reputable credit repair agencies? Or any advice on how to raise my credit score? I haven't had any negatives in several years. Also, how do I get the agencies to stop reporting after 7 years? I just want to raise my score for well being and state of mind. My current score is 571. I have student loans that I am paying off on time, every month, will this help? I also took out a cc with $250 and pay it on time every month as well.

  1. Buy something from Better Homes and Gardens, like cook-ware and pay it off in 4 or 5 installments. be on time w/ the payments. Buy some jewelry and pay it off on time. these will add to your credit score. If you have any outstanding bills, pay them and ask the co. to report that you have.
  2. The first step is to know whats on the credit file. Don't assume your credit is bad. Check it first. You are entitled to one free credit report/year (in most states). When you say "raise the credit score" it really depends on what you are trying to purchase. You may be where you need to be, especially if you have been on time for seven years. The seven year rule does not apply to ALL items on the report. For more info search "FCRA" on line.
  3. Yes, paying bills on time regularly will boost your credit rating. In addition, check your credit to debt ratio (found on the bottom of your credit report ). The lower this is the better. For instance if your total available credit is $30,000 and you've used $25,000, your ratio will be 84% which is not good. this tells creditors you're close to tapping out. On the other hand if your available credit is $40,000 and you've only used $15,000 of it, then you look appeasing to the creditors. Your ratio will be 38%. Creditors wil give people credit who appear not to need it. Sounds crazy, but that's how the game is played.

Our company restores credity by demanding that creditors prove that when they filed negative items they followed all the proper procedures set forth by law through the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
