has anyone tried credit repair services like bad credit b gone?

- I have not tried one but it appears that most are rip offs. The cure for the bad credit blues is to sing a new song....that is pay your bills (ON TIME) and dont charge more than you can afford to repay. The bad credit be gone company's in general just dispute your negatives which will (for a steep fee of course) make the bad credit disappear for a month while the creditor is validating the debt. Once this happens and it is confirmed that you owe this debt, your credit will return back to 'normal' and you will have paid some huge amount of money to have good credit for a month or two. If bgone wants you to pay them to dispute a charge that you dont have the time to do yourself, then maybe it could be worth it if you know the charge has been posted in error BUT THERE IS NO quick fix credit solution that does not require some money, time and attention. I vote for you to avoid 'bgone' and all of its friends www.ripoffreport.com
- Myth: I can get quick debt help over the phone or Internet. Truth: True debt help is not quick or easy. It starts in the mirror with you. Where do most people go for debt help? Most people try credit repair companies, debt consolidation, debt management, or bankruptcy. Companies touting quick, pain-free fixes are really scams that cause more harm than good. These services almost never help solve the true debt management problem - one's behavior. Why in the world would you trust someone who profits from your desperation and indebtedness? Don't you see the conflict of interest there? You come to these agencies and pay them upfront before you pay your debts ... why should they help you when they can milk you and get first cut on your income? What you NEED is to take control of your own finances, stop being a slave to the lenders and the FICO score. Why not do some reading and arm yourself with knowledge against the credit industry? I'd start with Dave Ramsey's "The Total Money Makeover" from your local library. [Don't buy now, but when you are DEBT FREE and in control of your life. Then buy copies for all your broke friends!] DR also runs a great radio show [also FREE] that is webcast from www.daveramsey.com and also airs on talk radio nationwide.
- Don't do this. It's a scam. I've found some good information here too... http://www.safelinked.info/jump.php?link=debt Best of luck.
