Bad Credit Agency

Are the credit repair programs worthy ?

I have had a few people approach me about paying $250 for their credit repair service and it would help to increase my credit score....how does this service work?

  1. don't believe it . . . there's only one way to repair your credit. pay down your debts faithfully and without getting into more debt. establish a budget and stick to it. spend less. over time, it will make a difference, but if you're just trying to get a better rate on more credit, you're making a mistake.
  2. HERE is the way that works...... 1. The "Credit Repair" company charges you $250. 2. They get a credit report pulled and review it with you. 3. Any "incorrect" information that is on the report - they have you sign a form letter to be sent to the credit agency advising that the information is incorrect. 4. The credit reporting agency clears the incorrect information. 5. You're $250 poorer. If ANYONE tells you that they can clear TRUE "bad" credit - they're scamming you. It is illegal. YOU can do everything that is outlined above for FREE. 1. Go to "www.annualcreditreport.com" (the one place to get a copy of your three credit reports at NO charge once per year - do NOT buy any of their add-ons, they're not necessary). 2. Review your credit reports and look for any information that is not correct. 3. Send a letter to the credit agency (their address will be on the report) letting them know very clearly (but nicely) that the information is incorrect (be specific with names, numbers, etc). As an earlier response says, if you actually have real credit problems, the only answer is to work through it by paying on time and reducing your debt. Don't spend the $250. They're not going to do ANYthing that you can't do yourself ..... and it's REALLY easy. Good luck and hope this helps!
  3. Here's how it works. You and your $250.00 are soon parted for something you can do yourself and increase your own scores. Use your $250.00 to help settle your stuff that isn't good. You could be out $500.00 real quick. Take some of your $250.00 and open up a secured credit and re-build.
  4. NO NO NO A site I've used for info in the past ... http://debt.123thebest.info/credit_card.html All the best to you.
