Can a person repair their own credit without an attorney?

- Yes. You don't need an attorney or credit counseling to pay back debt. What I did was gather up all the info on my creditors that I could find and I started making payment arrangements one at a time. You can even avoid paying the creditor's attorney's fees if you pay them back promptly. It can be done it just takes time and a little negotiation.
- You don't need an attorney. Start off filing disputes on everything negative and hope that the creditor don't respond in the allotted time. The items that don't get removed through the disputing process try contacting the collection agency or creditor whoever owns the account and try to work out something.
