- Hello, Liz... I came across your question, and I found it was interesting. You're looking for an unsecured card with bad credit. Be careful what you wish for. The reason I say that is there are some unsecured cards out there, but there's almost always a catch to it. Take First Premier and Tribute for example. They target people with horrible credit and offer low limit unsecured cards. But the problem with that is that they charge so many fees that it's eaten up the majority of the available credit well before you even get the card. So chances are you would have to pay those fees off before you're able to even spend the small unsecured limit you get. I agree with one of the posters that mentioned either saving up or opening up a secured card. A lot of major banks (B of A, Wells Fargo, USBank) offer these and they're respected more than those "subprime" cards. Even Orchard Bank (HSBC) offers better cards to rebuild your credit. Remeber, having a good credit card is not a right, it's a privlege that should be used responsibly.
- Try Orchard Bank, Capital One and Centinnial
