2. I work for a credit bureau... There is no such thing as credit "repair." The only way to fix your credit is to pay off old debt and make payments on time. If there is something on your report you believe is incorrect then you can write, call or go on line with any of the top three bureaus to dispute the information reported. I believe lawyers can sometimes go through the court to combine debt in to one low monthly payment, but this is reported to the bureaus and does not fix your score; if anything it looks worse to creditors.
