would anyone suggest using these so called credit repair agencies?

  1. NO you can do everything they can do. Put their fees toward your debt.
  2. I quote from the 2007 edition of the Consumer Action Handbook, "If the information is accurate, only time, hard work and a personal debt repayment plan will improve your credit report. Credit repair companies advertise they can erase bad credit for a hefty fee. Don't believe it".
  3. No. These firms aren't offering a legitimate service so the firm itself can't be legitimate. You can't "erase" history. You can't "create" a new credit profile by getting an FEIN. Face it, live with your sins, take steps to create a better future and survive.
  4. You can acutally repair your credit yourself. I used a solution at http://www.your-credit-solution.com/creditsolutions.htm and was able to repair my credit and increase by score by 200 in less than 90 days. It has saved me thousands in interest alone. Good Luck!
  5. I have been to "many" different credit repair sites on the web. Some were pretty good and some were pretty bad. I refuse to use a website<!--that requires a fee to get their credit repair info when there is great free sites on the web.. I'm listing the best site that I've ever been to. http://badcredits.awardspace.com/repaircredit.htm It is a "free" do it yourself credit repair site. I have learned so much by reading and asking questions on that site. And, I have seen "significant" improvement on my credit reports after learning-->my rights and using them.Don't pay for information that you can find for free.
  6. You can do a lot of this yourself but if it is too messed up or yours is mixed up with someone else's then you need a professional. I know a site that has 2 credit repair attorneys who do excellent work. I have several friends who got nowhere doing it themselves and these folks got it done. Here's the site: http://www.1-800badcredit.com/bad-credit-repair.html
