What is the phone noumber to the credit agency?
ok...I'm trying to get a job that checks credit. I didn't get the job the first time around b/c I had too much deliquent debt. I am paying it all off and I have one more time I can apply for this job and it has to be within two mths that I reapply....I asked all the debt collectors the same thing when I paid my debts, "how long does it take to get off my credit and whats the credit agencys phone # ?". They all said it takes 2 or 3 mths to get it off your credit and they cant release that #. If I had the # could I call and find out if its off? Does it really take that long to be erased? HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPPPPP. This is a really good job.

- go to www.annualcreditreport.com remember to get all three credit bureas (they could have different information) . don't worry about the score it changes too fast. Follow the directions to dispute the items if they are incorrect and set up payment plans to pay the rest. Once corrected they will send the updated information to the company that requested your credit and send them the updated bureau(s)
