Bad Credit Agency

Bad Credit........how can I repair it fast?

Went thru a bad divorce 4 years ago and have never been able to recover. I'm tired of the apartment life but my credit sucks, so renting a house is very difficult. Any suggestions to help me fix up my credit fast?

  1. PAY YOUR BILLS! That really is the only way. There is no quick magic fix. Credit repair companies are all frauds that rip you off. All you can do is pay your stuff off. You can call your old collection agencies and try to cut a deal on a settlement.
  2. There is no fast way.It takes years.Get some consulting from credit experts. It's the best way to get your rating up.The above is wrong. There are good companies out there.Ask your bank or one of your credit card companies.
  3. Do this: 1) go to www.equifax.com request a 3 in one credit report cost you around $29 2) Once you got your 3 credit agencies reports, dispute all the negative information. Just say that is not yours. 3) Wait for a month, Credit companies have 30 days to respond. usually they are to busy and don't respond within that time frame therefore the credit agency has the obligation to delete the record from your credit file.
  4. You can't fix your credit fast. Buy a house. There are programs that don't look at credit. You will pay a higher interest rate, but you can refinance to a lower one after your credit gets better.
  5. I agree with STrojan that you can't improve credit quickly. If you have decent income you could always try to get a home loan or go through HUD for a home. Stay away from credit repair places as Fair Isaacs is re-vamping the Credit Scoring Scheme to stop credit repair company fraud. On the upside pay all your current bills on time. Like love, poor credit scores need time to heal.
  6. There's no quick-fix to bad credit.
  7. there is no quick fix you can dispute information but if it's accurate it gonna stay on for 7 years nothing you can do about that those credit repair firms do no work and you cannot get a home loan with out credit check those "liars" loan or stated income loans are gone and thus what has gotten the industry into trouble with so many sub prime loans
  8. I have been to "many" different credit repair sites on the web. Some were pretty good and some were pretty bad. I refuse to use a website<!--that requires a fee to get their credit repair info when there is great free sites on the web.. I'm listing the best site that I've ever been to. http://badcredits.awardspace.com/repaircredit.htm It is a "free" do it yourself credit repair site. I have learned so much by reading and asking questions on that site. And, I have seen "significant" improvement on my credit reports after learning-->my rights and using them.Don't pay for information that you can find for free.
