I want a loan to make money. Small business loans/credit cards for ppl with bad credit? Exponential growth? My house was robbed and all my jewellery and money stolen a couple of years ago. I was about to run a small home business with the money and assets i had saved doing security work. As I didnt have insurance, I got into debt and had to move so I didnt get hit again. Now I have bad credit, is there anyway I can get a loan with bad credit??? I only need a small credit card to help me juggle things. I am now trying to run a business again, but dont nearly have the start or the credit ratings as i previously did, I am still a student and was hoping to run a business in my part-time. I am still making about 50-100% profit per month turnover from my money and business. With this type of turnover even a small loan of 1-2k would grow my business exponentially. Even 10-20% p.a would be nothing for me to juggle around. I know it takes money to make money but I cant seem to get over that 1k-2k hill to start my business growing exponentially. Any tips other than saving or selling my assets?

Is it possible to set up your own business with a bad personal credit rating? Just interested. Due to a lot of problems we've been living on a severely low income and so haven't been able to keep up repayments on our credit cards, loans etc As a result our credit rating is destroyed. We've been to CAB and are making token payments to our creditors which is all we can do right now. We keep being told that way out of financial problems and the career dead end my other half is in is to set up our own business and work for ourselves. However as we have no capital, and I presume no bank would advance a business loan to someone with a bad credit rating, this would be an impossibility (short of a lottery win). My partner was even refused a Career Development Loan because of our credit rating. Just interested in case there are any ways around this I might not be aware of.

Question re business loans and personal credit history? I'm starting a business with a partner, we're incorporating and planning on having 50/50 ownership. We'll want to apply for a loan or credit line and banks will naturally be checking our credit histories. Here's the issue: my credit history is good, perfectly clean, and improving. My business partner has some big credit card balances from starting the business, has missed some payments... his credit is bad. I'm thinking maybe I should be the 100% owner initially, so my partner's credit doesn't become an issue. Later on after we've established business credit we can change to 50/50 ownership. Does that sound like a good strategy? Thanks for the comments re my partner's credit issues. As background, he is great in retail, customer service, and started the business- currently owns it. Definitely needs help with the financial aspects, and I think the partnership will work well.

Hi Everyone, I started a business recently and it has been very lucrative lately (it is an internet business which is extremely profitable) My identity was stolen recently and while I have a fraud message on my report, my credit is still quite spotty while this is "fixed." My issue is, I have a contact who is willing to sell me a very valuable item for my business for a very good price, AND, I have a buyer lined up to buy it, but, I dont have the $5,000 that I need to make the flip, having just started out. Does anyone know where one could receive a $5,000 loan for 6 weeks and repay $6000 at the end of the borrow period? Prosper is not an option due to the credit issue, so, obviously neither is a bank. This would need to be more of a P2P lending with a legal agreement between the parties? Any ideas? The faster the better! Thanks!. What are the odds of obtaining a large scale business loan with bad credit? I have a large project and I have an investor lined up with about 400K in start up capital but my personal credit is terrible because i basically just messed around through college and my buisness credit is unused. I am seeking about 2.5m with the building and property valued at 900K as collateral. It willl be pretty easy to fix my credit cause most of the negitive issues are less than $500.00 there are just alot of them. It is a slow process, but I know that I can speed it up if I start up my own business. I only need about $700 and that would pay for equipment/tools/etc. as well as shipping/handling fees/taxes. After completing the Luckson Loan Application, I was contacted and told that I was approved, however I need to Western Union $215 USD before they will transfer the money to my account. I'm a little sceptical, as the company is in Nigeria, and everyone says that you shouldn't have to pay money up front to receive money (such as loans and what not). With bad credit and no seed money... other than government grants how do we get a small business loan? My boyfriend and I are trying to get his company a boost for his backhoe purchase so he can start work for himself. Of course his credit isn't the best and we have no seed money or investors at the moment. The business plan is drawn up and everything has been priced and we even have pending contracts, but we can't get a loan to get it started. I love this part of my job, am good at it and would like to turn it into a source of income. I would like to take a credit repair client, obtain their credit reports and explain the information contained in them in detail. I would give recommendations about what they can do to raise their score and a detailed step by step plan of action. For an additional fee, I would dispute incorrect items on their behalf. I plan to keep my prices low and offer honest, realistic advice specific to the individual's situation and goals. What certifications or licenses do I need to start a business that does this? I did find out I need a $50,000 surety bond for this. How do I get that? I have checked my state's website and most of the information given there was pretty vague.
