You always hear information on how to get good credit, how to improve your credit score and how to improve your financial future but no one ever tells you how to get bad credit. Are you on a mission to ruin your credit and ruin it fast? Well, you're in luck because getting bad credit proves easier than improving existing poor credit. Here are some ideas.
What should you do if you want to ruin your credit for good? Well, when it comes to bad credit, there are different things you need to understand. First, there is such a thing as No Credit. No Credit can often be as bad as poor credit. You get No Credit by doing absolutely nothing. That's right; zip. Nada. Nothing. Never take out loans. Never apply for a credit card. Pay for everything in cash. This is how you get No Credit.
Then that brings us to Poor Credit. Poor credit is slightly worse than good credit. You probably have a strike or two against you. Maybe you paid something a little late or fell behind on your car payments. You credit is not good but it's not quite "bad" yet, either. There is still hope for you and you can turn things around if you act now. Read on if you are not interested in improving your credit. You'll probably have a hard time getting bank loans and you will have to pay a high down payment for an auto loan.
And now we have Bad Credit. Bad credit usually takes time to acquire. This isn't just a few bad months worth of paying some things late. This is more like long-term avoidance of bills. This is more than just late payments on some high-ticket items or a late loan payment. If you want bad credit, you are probably paying all of your bills late, if at all. You are just steps away from disconnections and repossessions. You would get turned down by rent-to-own furniture stores. It's not too late to turn back now!
If you thought it couldn't get any worse after Bad Credit, you're wrong. There is also Terrible Credit. If you have terrible credit, you have probably already had multiple repossessions and disconnections. All of your creditors have turned you over to Collections Agencies and you aren't paying those people either. You may have even been summoned to court over bills that you owe. In some cases, you may have your wages garnished to cover costs of unpaid debts. You couldn't get a car loan from even the seediest of car salesmen.
Last but not least, we have I-Should-Just-File-Bankruptcy-Now Credit. When your credit is so horrible, there is absolutely no hope left for you to ever be able to repair it, and your only option is to file bankruptcy and wipe the slate clean, that's when you know you have really succeeded at getting bad credit.
Now what are some ways that you can get this bad credit? Here are six great tips to help you on your journey to bad credit scores.
These are not the only ways to get bad credit. Another great way of getting bad credit is to get your identity stolen. You can achieve this by losing your wallet but it is more easily done these days online. There are many Internet predators lurking in wait to steal your identity and help you ruin your credit.
